Within one or two weeks the small cap index – Russell 2000 (RUT) could have a Death Cross signal.

A Death Cross occurs when the 50 – day Simple Moving Average (SMA) crosses below the 200 – day SMA. Typically, after a Death Cross a market or stock could decline an additional one or two weeks. What happened in late March to early April 2025 could be a preview of what may happen later in 2026.
Caution, sometimes a Death Cross can occur simultaneous with a bottom.
