NYSE Composite – Elliott Wave Count – 02/20/26

The NYSE Composite (NYA) could make an important secondary top on 02/23/26.

The Nasdaq Composite reached its all-time high on 10/29/25.

The S&P 500 reached its all-time high on 01/28/26.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average reached its all-time high on 02/10/26. Which is one day after the sixty – year anniversary of the major peak reached on 02/09/66. On that day the index high was 1,001.11.

The NYSE Composite reached its all-time high on 02/12/26.

Since their respective highs NYA has retraced 75% of its post high decline. The next highest retracement is the S&P 500 – 61%.

Of the four indices NYA is clearly the strongest, peaking last and retracing the most.

An Elliott wave – Ending Diagonal Triangle (EDT) from the bottom made on 02/13/26 could be forming.  Frequently EDT’s end with a brief throwover of the trendline connecting the termination points of the first and third waves.

This could happen shortly after the open of regular trading at 9:30 – AM – EDT on 02/23/26.
